Eligibility Criteria for BS of IST

A candidate seeking admission to a baccalaureate degree program at IST must meet the following criteria: Candidates must fulfill the following conditions

For Engineering Programs:

  • SSC/ Equivalent Certificate (Science) with 60% marks
  • FSc Pre-Engineering/ Equivalent Certificate with minimum 60% overall marks (Part-1 and Part-2 combined)
  • Valid NAT-1E/ HAT-UG-E or SAT-II (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics level–II)
  • A-Level / Cambridge/ Students with any qualification other than FSC Pre-Engineering should obtain an IBCC certificate equivalent to FSC Pre-Engineering with overall 60% marks
  • Pre-medical students with additional math or appearing for additional maths papers are eligible to apply
  • HSSC/ A-Level final result awaiting students are eligible to apply.

For Space Science Program:

  • SSC/ Equivalent Certificate
  • FSc Pre-Engineering/ ICS/ Equivalent Certificate
  • A-Level / Cambridge/ Students with any qualification other than FSC Pre-Engineering/ ICS should obtain an IBCC certificate equivalent to FSC Pre-Engineering/ ICS
  • Pre-medical students with additional math or appearing for additional maths papers are eligible to apply
  • HSSC/ A-Level final result awaiting students are eligible to apply

For BS Mathematics Program:

  • SSC/ Equivalent Certificate
  • FSc / ICS / General Science / DAE / Equivalent with Mathematics and Physics/ Statistics
  • A-Level / Cambridge/ Students with any qualification other than F.Sc. / ICS / General Science / DAE should obtain an IBCC equivalent certificate
  • Pre-medical students with additional math or appearing for additional maths papers are eligible to apply
  • HSSC/ A-Level final result awaiting students are eligible to apply

International Students: 
International applicants are also required to fulfill other requirements laid down by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for the admission of international students in Pakistani Higher Education Institutions/ Universities.
